Volunteers’ Week

It is coming to the end of volunteers’ week and we want to take the opportunity to say a massive thank you to all National Trust volunteers that work with us on the Northumberland Coast.

Volunteers are a massive part of all the work we do and we wouldn’t be able to function without them. From managing archives, carrying out wildlife surveys, cutting scrub, restoring historic collections, managing the garden and engaging with visitors, they help us across the portfolio both outside and inside.

So a massive thank you to all of our volunteers for the work you do with us. If you want to get involved all of our volunteering opportunities can be found at:

One special mention: to Ian Chadwick, who has survived ten years of madness and volunteering at the Long Nanny tern site. He has helped chase off predators, monitor the colony, helped new seasonal rangers settle in and provided copious amount of biscuits. We are incredibly grateful and thanks so much for all the hard work.
